Early Environment
The environment in which Torie grew up truly set the stage for how she navigates this reality. Her dad is someone who turns every moment into an opportunity to learn. Her mom prioritizes self-care and self-discovery and has an unbreakable faith in a higher power. Both her parents brought impressive ways of operating to the table, incredibly different ones, but for her sister and her, that provided a well-rounded example.
She had a lot of freedom as a teenager. She attended AA and therapy before she even graduated from high school. Her parents never judged; they simply did whatever they could to help and support.
Sense of Purpose
Attending therapy, she realized that the artist she is needs to be honored. She says, “It is a form of self-expression that is necessary for me to stay true to myself. Therapy was also the experience that planted the seed of wanting to become a professional speaker, potentially working in the realm of psychology.”
Creating Lasting Impact
Torie started partying around 10 years old, and by the time she went to college, she felt like she had lived an entire lifetime. After she graduated, she moved to the mountains and became a bartender. What she learned via the TIPS certification illuminated a consumption science that she found invaluable and profound. For her, knowing how to consume properly was personally rooted.
A lot of the friends she grew up with have passed away from an overdose or are still struggling to find the balance. When she started channeling in 2018, she discovered how divine cosmic consciousness and quantum encoding work. This unlocked an unforeseen level of her ability to contribute to the world. Her channeling journey shifted her purpose. She became a Spirit Advisor, but not just any Spirit Advisor, a Spirit Advisor who pours spirits.
Navigating High-Stakes Challenges
When it comes to principles that guide her decision-making when faced with complex or high-stakes challenges, Torie says, “Is it a win-win? How can we make it a win-win? Does it honor Mother Nature, Humanity, and sustainability? Is it soul-reflective, soul-resonant? I specialize in Galactic Law. When it comes to facing complexity, Galactic Law provides a foundation of simplicity.”
Envisioning A Better Industry
She has been in hospitality for 20 years and is at the forefront of reshaping everything she has found unsettling about it. She recently shifted gears, adding Hospitality Keynote Speaker (with Spirit Advisor, running in the background) to her repertoire. She wanted to be able to take everything she knew and speak to and train management herself.
She noticed that most managers feel their jobs are mostly babysitting and putting out fires, and that they are constantly in a cycle of rehiring. She knows how to break that cycle. She remarks, “My positioning focuses on dissolving energetic hierarchy and instilling humanity-centric ways of operating. Showing leadership how to hire intentionally, set their people up for success and empower them, allowing them to create collaborative, high-performing teams.”
Beyond Metrics
Torie feels that ‘how we make people feel, the version of Self that people feel comfortable being in our presence is everything’. People have
commented that the version of themselves they feel free to be in her presence is not even a version they have accessed on their own. People often admit things to her that they have never admitted to themselves. Something about her reflection's openness lets it all hang out, and she is truly honored by that.
A Vision Beyond Lifetime
She has built her brand (Empathic Gangster®) to encompass everything that she is. She has been told that her Spirit, essence, and organic ways of operating are something that can never be forgotten.
She says, “My relationships, friendships, and personal engagements are incredibly electric; to the point that many people I’ve connected with have expressed that their lives wouldn’t be the same without knowing me — talk about incredibly humbling.”
Aspiring Moments
Torie never thought that her current life would be her life. At one point, she wasn’t sure she would live to see 21.
She is proud to have two sweet girls who care about people, animals, and the planet. She is proud to have a husband with a one-of-a-kind heart.
The only thing she has left that she wants to achieve is a boutique hospitality establishment for her community, a place that inspires and supports the artists of the world.
